03/06/08 Updates
I know, I know....it's been a long time since updates have been posted. Things have been SO busy around Haven that finding time to breathe is difficult enough! We're on a Spring Cleaning binge here at the Haven/TWC office...a HUGE thank you goes out to my wonderful volunteer staff that have helped in getting things organized--Evening, Mitch, Aimee, John. We're back on schedule with doing classes and such at the local meetups (which are still going very well!). We began an interesting "experiment" using Zener cards to test everyone's sending and receiving abilities...ESP that is...at the local meetup last night. It was quite fascinating! So much is going on with Haven at this point...all of the different facets are really taking shape and taking off quite well. The Three Wise Cats Magickal Shoppe is constantly adding new products, so be sure to check it out. TWC and PERISH are also now on MySpace: TWC MySpace & PERISH MySpace. Feel free to add us! Well, since Mau has left us and the site maintenence to yours truly, things have been slow to update. We've recently switched hosting companies due to issues with the last one, and are only now getting things back in order. I will post more updates in the near future, so hang tight folks!!
02/22/06 Updates
It
would seem that I haven't posted any updates in a while! But that doesn't
mean things aren't progressing...and well, I might add!! With the initiative
of our servant Knight, Paxus, and Squire, Koen, the Haven fight club has begun!
First rule of Haven Fight Club, there is no Haven Fight Club. But, there is
a Haven Sparring Club! Every other wednesday afternoon you'll find them sparring
away in Sunset Park. I haven't personally made it out there yet, but from
what I hear, it is a rousing success! It is all posted on the events page.

We've
successfully completed our first "silent auction". Thank you to
the Guardians and all of the local Haven gang who made this one such a success!
Keep your ears and eyes peeled for the next auction due to hit in April! And
a huge thanks goes out to my best friend, Evening...without whom the auction
would have never gotten off the ground!
Congrats
seem to be in order--although belated! Two of our resident Elfs have little
ones on the way! Trista and Ella are the proud mommies-to-be! Congrats to
both of them and their hubbies, Corriander and Bear!
How
about engagement congrats? Congrats to Tink and Greg on their recent engagement.
And, in case I never mentioned it, Evening and Ron (date in August!).
Although
it has been slow, Hauntd is doing her best in trying to get the New Orleans
community back together. There isn't word when official meet-ups will start,
but gatherings can be arranged for anyone in the NOLA area. For information,
please contact me.
Hauntd has intermittant internet service, so I will pass along any requests
I get.
Those
of you who have contacted me about prayer circles, please be a bit patient.
I will get to your request shortly. With the hectic-ness around here, I've
been lax to get to them. But they will ALL be addressed!
Growing
rapidly! It would seem that our "little" Haven group in Vegas is
not so little anymore. We're quickly outgrowing our latest meet-up place with
an average of 25 persons at closed meets...and even more at open meets. We're
trying to find another location, but it would seem very difficult to find
a place accepting and accomadating that doesn't involve a personal residence
and stays open late enough! Everyone hang in there...we'll all just have to
sit real close together for a while yet! :)

back in January, my very first submission to them was approved and posted

I have several more that I will be submitting when I have the time...I'll
keep everyone updated!
09/26/05 Updates
Haven made a brilliant showing at the Pagan Pride Day here in Las Vegas this month. I was personally unable to attend due to illness, but from what I hear it went very well! Glad to see everyone supporting the local Pagan Communities!
Haven Treasures, the division of Haven that offers you items of magick, mystery, and beauty has finally moved to the active stage. It has been a long time planning, but we now sell on Ebay and New Age Auctions. We are currently working on bringing an online store directly integrated into the web-site...it shouldn't be long now! For a limited time, any member of our online HOKS group will receive a 10% discount on any auction won! Also, we are donating any proceeds (above and beyond running costs) to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Haven in Las Vegas is trying their best to be involved in as many Community events as possible...after all, we are here to serve the Community! Our next big event is we will be holding an Open Meet-and-Greet at the LV Ren Faire in a couple weeks! Take a look at our events calendar for all our events!
And on a final note... I want to tell everyone in Haven, all members, my wonderful Counsil, all the students and meet-up members, thank you so much for all your effort and support! We wouldn't be such a success without all of you!

We had a great time at our celebration on July 29th! Thank you all who came out, cooked, brought provisions, or just showed up with friends! I had a wonderful time and not one I will soon forget!
We've begun our classes for the Las Vegas area! We've already begun our Grounding/Shielding classes...and are compiling a course list for the next couple of months! Keep in mind that if you are interested in attending the classes at the closed meets, you must attend an Open Meet first! For any additional information, email HHLP
Our State Reps in OH and UT are working on getting local meet-ups going...but we need your help! If you are in the OH or UT areas and would like to attend a meet-up, please email: meet-up and please be sure to specify where you live.
We have so much going on around Haven that it is difficult to put it all down! We have charity events, fundraisers, a newsletter....just to name a few! Keep your eyes peeled for further updates!

Haven's Guardian program is now officially public. Haven has always had Guardians, but we have now officially set it up in tandem with The Guardian Network. For additional information on The Haven Guardians, please visit our Haven Guardians site.
IIn our efforts to continue to benefit and help the Community, Haven has set up a Prayer Circle program. We will be offering our thoughts and energies to individuals and needing members at our weekly meet-ups and House meetings. For those on our current Prayer Circle list, please see the link on our Events/Calendar page or the Home Page.
Lunas (Lammas, Lughnasadh) is quickly approaching! The Las Vegas Haven group is celebrating in our typical Haven fashion with a gathering on July 29th. For further details for Las Vegas residents, please contact Lady Night.
School is in session! The Haven Higher Learning Program will be off to a grand start beginning the first closed meeting after our Lunas celebration. For information regarding the program in Las Vegas or other locations, contact HHLP .
